Introducing Windows 10

  • by

next operating system is windows 10

On October 1, Microsoft announced the name of its’ next operating system, Windows 10.

Windows 10 will be a combination of Windows 7 and Windows 8. It is designed to “run on the broadest types of devices.” The Metro, or “start” screen, will have the look of the traditional Windows start screen and the tiles of Windows 8, allowing for a more universal experience – no matter what device it is on.

It will be user friendly to the mouse, as well as to touch screens. The search function in the start menu will be more universal, including results from the web, and the command prompt will now support “paste.” The new OS is not set for release until late 2015, but MS will release a beta for members of its “Insider Program” sometime in October. All in all, it sounds great. Let’s hope it really is.
