I would put 10 stars if i could. I am architecture student that had computer issues at the worst possible time. I called every computer/tech place in austin and Frankenstein was 100% the kindest/most helpful/most personable company i talked to. Once i brought it in (with tears and puffy eyes) Jay was the tech nicest guy i had ever spoken to. He didn't try to explain anything to me as if i was an idiot like I've had experienced in the past, he was SO helpful. You could tell he knew his stuff. I will not go to any other tech repair place again!!! Frankenstein's only!

Owner of the shop are very responsive and even offer me the same day repairs !Technician Jay and his co worker fixed   my computer battery and even waited me for extra time after store hour. Thank you for your professionalism my computer works just fine now

My laptop, an ACER Aspire, was consistently becoming too hot and then shutting off. The issue was clearly with the battery and the fan, so I bought those two new parts and called Frankenstein. Frankenstein Computers installed the battery and the fan and returned the computer to me. Unfortunately the issue persisted so I called them to see if they could do anything about it. They assured me that my computer was under warranty and they could do some more searching without an additional labor charge. After a few tries they found that the fan I bought was faulty. They bought a new fan and re-installed it, everything worked wonderfully. My computer runs better than it did 6 months ago. They kept me updated throughout the process and I was charged very modestly for the duration of time they had my laptop. Ryan was fantastic and everything was done in a timely manner. I couldn't recommend them more.

Fast service. Helped to explain what our issue was. Was completed with repair within 24 hours. After pay, it will be under warranty. If we need help again, we will be back!

I accidentally spilled water all over my MacBook and thought it was a lost cause. With little hope, I called up a couple repair shops and most told me they didn't do mac water damage. Fortunately, Frankenstein came to the rescue and took my MacBook in. They were covid conscious; I dropped of my MacBook at a desk outside their door. They gave me calls and updated me as days progressed. I picked up my mac a few days later and was surprised that it was working again! A week later, my mac is still running. I highly recommend this spot

Excellent experience with Frankenstein Computers. 1. They responded to my request for a quote within 10 minutes. 2. They were more than fair in their charges - They examined a machine of mine that wouldn't boot, didn't find anything physically wrong, and reinstalled the OS for me at a reduced price. Now it boots up fine! 3. Service was quick, took one day. 4. Fast and friendly service! All in all, I'd highly recommend their service.

I needed a repair statement for my damaged PC to file a claim to FedEx. Tony and Jonathan helped me to evaluate the damage so quickly and were super helpful. The response from them was super quick too! Highly recommend!!

I was having trouble with my custom built PC posting and booting to Windows -- I brought in the machine and Ariel and Jay couldn't have been more helpful. Jay had the time to take a look at it on the spot and troubleshot it with me until he it posting regularly -- turns out it was a faulty USB cable to the motherboard keeping it from posting! I'd been tearing my hair out for weeks trying to diagnose and he sussed it out very quickly. Very personable and helpful, don't hesitate to give them a call.

I came here with a 13y old Mac which was basically a photo album. I needed to transfer the HD data to a portable one and recycle the obsolete machine. They were confident in saying they could do so but didn't 100% guarantee it. In less than 24h the job was done and ready for pick up! I drove 20min to come here and I'd do it again. Excellent customer service and communication as well as a successful transfer of data! Highly recommend Frankenstein Computers!
