If you are a Microsoft Office user just like most others, then I am sure you have run into issues such as your applications becoming unresponsive or flat out will not open at all, Outlook will not sync recent emails, or text and formatting will not function correctly within Word and Excel.
Now that being said, there are a few options for you to try that are built into your Office program that can help fix your issues without having to reach out for support. Microsoft Office provides a few built in repair tools that you can run that actually fix most problems when it comes to this type of situation. All you have to do is go into your start menu, search for your control panel, then find your programs and features option and locate your Microsoft Office application in the list which should be in alphabetical order.
Once you locate the application, highlight it and then at the top of your menu click “change”. This will bring up a pop up that asks if you would like to run a quick or online repair. It is always best to start with the quick repair and once complete go ahead and test your applications. If this does not help your situation, then most certainly run the full online repair which actually does what is called a repair install of the Office Suite and essentially installs a fresh up to date copy of Office. This does not always work but it is a great place to start if you are having issues with Office. So, if the problem continues after attempting these steps then I would recommend reaching out to us here at Frankenstein Computers and Networking so we can further troubleshoot.
