“Is this old computer worth it?”
is a question we get asked all the time here at Frankenstein Computers. Depending on the age and what you are trying to accomplish, it can be difficult to decide. If you are talking about a simple RAM upgrade or adding a DVD Burner, then most of the time it is worth it. But if you are talking about replacing your hard drive or processor, then you may want to consider purchasing a new system.
These items can be expensive and the cost of new systems has dropped over the last few years. Computers are only designed to last for 4 or 5 years.
