If you are like most technology consumers in this day and age, I am sure you use mobile devices when you are away from your computer such as your cell phone or tablets.
If this is the case, I am sure there have been times where you are checking your emails on your mobile devices and then happen to go over to your computer and see that you are missing emails or it is not syncing the way it should be. This is due to the fact that the way the different devices are reaching the mail server settings from your email host can affect the devices you are using in different ways.
Now that being said, if you have ever run into the issue with your computer asking for your email password constantly but whichever mobile device you are using is not is because your computer has what is called a credential manager which if needing to be updated or anything along those lines can be the cause of your issue and your mobile devices actually hang onto those passwords without prompting you to enter or change the current information.
It however is very important to keep in mind that if you do happen to end up changing your email password on your computer to get it to function as it should again, you will need to update that same information on your mobile devices to keep them functioning as well. This subject is more prominent when it comes to if you are an Outlook or other mail client user such as Windows Live Mail or Mozilla Thunderbird to view your emails and you have the application both on your computer as well as your mobile devices.
