Is it hot outside or just your CPU?

  • by
central processing unit

The CPU (Central processing unit) temperatures are something to keep an eye on or check every once in a little while.

Overheating CPU’s can cause many issues and can even destroy various parts of your computer if not the whole thing. I would say what temperature range would be good for your computer, but they vary drastically these days. I would say 70 degrees Celsius used to be on the hotter end of cooling 5 years ago, but some newer CPU’s idle around 50-60 degrees and were designed to go up to 100 or above.

This is why each computer varies. Some gaming systems or workstations have preinstalled applications that show the CPU temperature, but it can also be downloaded for free through various websites. If you are currently having issues with your CPU overheating or would just like to get a checkup on your system, we are happy to help.
